IPL 2021 to resume with Mumbai Indians vs chennai Super kings on September.

Second Phase of IPL will be hosted by Dubai. 31 remaining matches will be played at three venues; Dubai,Sharjaj and Abu Dhabi.

The 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) Season which was suspended earlier due to Covid-19 will now resume on September 19 with a clash between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians, confirmed sources.

First match of the season will be played in Dubai and remaining matches will be played at three venues with Dubai set to host the final on October 15.

Earlier BCCI had confirmed in a press release which stated, “The Indian Premier League Governing Council and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in an emergency meeting has decided to postpone IPL 2021 with immediate effect. BCCI does not want to compromise on the safety of player, Support staff and the other involved in organising 2021 IPL Season.

Earlier Reports showed that BCCI lose over Rs 2000 crore following the midway postpone.

After the meeting, BCCI in a press release said they will complete the remaining matches of VIVO IPL 2021 seson in UAE,considering the monsoon season in India.
