Sikkimese Daughter Sandhya Gurung honoured with prestigious Dronacharya Award, 2021.

Hearty Congratulations to Sikkimese Daughter Sandhya Gurung on being honoured with prestigious Dronacharya Award, 2021 in the field of Boxing.

She is the first Sikkimese to receive the Nation’s highest sporting honour in the field of Boxing.

Mrs. Sandhya Gurung is a National Boxing Coach under Boxing Federation of India (BFI) since last five years. She is now working as a Head Boxing Coach under Sports and Youth Affairs Department.

Her hard work has made our nation proud during recent Olympic, as her trainee Ms Lovlina Borgohain from Assam won the Bronze Medal in boxing.
