Manipur Chief Minister, N. Biren Singh, today announced that the state Government have decided to appoint Olympic Silver Medalist, Saikhom Mirabai Chanu, as Additional Superintendent of Police (Sports) in the Manipur police department.
Earlier, Manipur Chief Minister had announced Rs 1crore reward for silver medalist Mirabai Chanu and also stated, Manipur Government have a surprise for her when she returns back home.
Today, in his statement, Chief Minister, N. Biren Singh announced that the state Government have decided to appoint Olympic Silver Medalist, Saikhom Mirabai Chanu as Additional Superintendent of Police (Sports) in the Manipur police department adding to which he said that all the participants would be given Rs. 25 lakhs each.
