Demonstration & Trial Flight of 26 seater MI -172 Helicopter was conducted at Burtuk Helipad, Gangtok, on 12th of November by Sky One Airways.

Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri PS Golay attended the Demonstration and trail flight of 26 seater MI 172 Helicopter at Burtuk Helipad, Gangtok.

He was accompanied by Tourism Minister, Shri. B. S. Panth, IPR Minister, Shri. L. N. Sharma, Power Minister, Shri M. N. Sherpa, MLA Shri G. T. Dhungel, staff of Tourism Department and other dignitaries.

MI-172 helicopter is a 26 Seater helicopter in addition to the three crew member which will expand avenues for tourism & for rescue operations in times of emergency. It is a twin engine helicopter which will ensure a sense of security for local citizens to avail travel facilities with ease and safety.This opens up a new avenue for travel in the state where tourists and local people can avail this facility according to their convenience.
