
Indian Javelin thrower, Neeraj Chopra earned a direct qualification into finals with an amazing throw of 86.65m.
This was 23-year old Chopra’s first Olympics and it just took him few seconds to reach the final round since he threw the spear past the qualifying distance of 83.50m in his first attempt.
He finished ahead of 2017 World Champion, Johannes Vetter of Germany.
The final round is to be held on Saturday.
