
SILIGURI: After Sikkim, seven people were tested with new variants of Covid in West Bengal, out of which, five patients were tested with Delta varient and two with ‘Uco’ varient.
These patients were tested positive with new variants on Tuesday at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) after their test sample were collected.
Superintendent of NBMCH Dr Sanjay Mallick confirmed the news and suggested people not to be panic as the hospital authorities are all prepared to handle the situation with the support of health department.
